Best food that I've eaten on Oahu. I love their Potato-Mac salad. Only wish I could get the recipe.
I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone for writing such a wonderful reviews about our restaurant. There is really no greater rewards and I may have 'I rather be in Hawaii' tile at the restaurant but there is really no where else I rather be but washing dishes and taking orders at Hapa Grill :)
Thank you so much!
Very nice place to eat. The people are very friendly and personable. Wish I could eat there every day! Good place for the family to enjoy a meal. This place is very clean and tidy which is a plus in our book! Try Hapa Grill, you will not be disappointed!
This is my favorite restaurant. The Green Onion Salad Dressing is wonderful -- The owner and chef's own recipe. Everything comes with 2 sides and brown or white rice. Prices are great. My favorites:
Short ribs or a beef dish, The Chef says the type of meat takes the marinade differently).
Teriyaki Salmon, Lemongrass Chicken, Cole Slaw, Green Salad, Sometimes a Spam Musabi (sp?) it's like sushi only a full slice of spam on white rice w/Nori wrapped around.
Delicious Hawaiian Style pulled pork sandwich (the fries are frozen bag kind...but who cares!) Also my husband got the Pork Potroast with Seared Tofu and Yakisoba noodles... YUM! to the tofu and noodles!!! He said the potroast was good too...but not as good as my sandwich! Also it's very reasonably priced esp for the entree with 2 sides!!
This a small family run business where the food is the star of the show. They have great food! I love the mahi mahi and the salmon is great too. Everything is actually pretty good (though some of the appetizers are not my favorites). And the good news is you can eat as healthy or as unhealthy as you want.
Grab a nice piece of fish and veggies, or go wild with the pork and ymmmy macaroni salad.
There are tons of side order choices and you typically get your choice of 3!
good value for what you get.
They even have eggs, gravy, and spam. What more could you want?
All I can say is YUMMY! We've had the teriyaki chicken and the lemongrass chicken with the coleslaw (awesome!) and steamed and grilled veggies. The fresh summer rolls are different than I've had before but very good. If you are tired of the typical "teriyaki chicken" places....this is for you...it is so much better.
I have the luxury of working in the same office complex as Hapa Grill and I can't say enough good things about this place. It's relatively inexpensive, the food is great, the portions are generous, and the service is quick. I highly recommend the Hawaiian Style Kalua Pork, the Ginger Dark Soy Braised Pork Pot Roast, the Thai Curry Tiger Prawns, and the Lemongrass BBQ Chicken. All of those dishes rock.
They also serve brown ride (a rarity these days), have great yakisoba, and a wonderful macaroni salad.
I can't recommend this place enough. If you are at all in the mood for Teriyaki, or Asian Fusian, this is the place to go in the Beaverton area.
Just loved the Hapa Grill in Beaverton. Everything tasted fantastic, it was cheap, and service was pleasant and prompt. What more could you ask for? Only wished I lived next door!
I had the Kaula Pork with brown rice, coleslaw and gratin potatoes (with a large drink the total was only $7.75). I had to ask if they made a mistake on the bill. This was a lunch easily worth twice that price. Portions are generous, and everything tasted like it was just made.
