Restaurant Reviews of Hut Inn The
Enjoying Soup and Sandwiches at The Hut Inn written by

We recently discovered The Hut Inn, just a few minutes north of our home. Although initially my husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch, it was so good, we returned a week later with our two young daughters in tow.
There is so much on the menu to enjoy that even the pickiest member of our crew found several items from which to choose. My husband and both daughters settled on sandwiches. Sneaking a bite of each, I still think the Danwich, a monster that combines a club sandwich and a BLT under one bun, is one of the best I have ever eaten. Their French Dip was also excellent, with moist, sliced roast beef in a perfect au jus, which hit the right notes of juice and salt without going overboard on sodium or fat. Their Reuben is also a marvel with slightly thicker slices of corned beef and light on the dressing, harkening to a New York styled Reuben. I had the Raspberry Chicken, which while being tasty, was a tad dry and could have used a bit more sauce. The Hearty Beef Soup that came with the dinner was very good and obviously homemade. Big chunks of beef and veggies came in a bowl of rich beef broth, similar to the au jus. In the future, I will likely stick to the sandwiches and nachos. You cannot go wrong with those, although I am eager to try the burgers, which I hear are very good as well.
All in all, we really enjoyed our meal at The Hut Inn and anticipate many happy return visits.
