Left in the Cold written by cedison2002

My bridal shower was held here on a Saturday. The shower was scheduled to start at 3:00pm. Upon making my entance at 3:30pm, to greet my loved ones; I found them shivering in the cold dining room. As I looked around I saw that the room was dirty and messy. After speaking to my mother, the host, she told me that she not only paid in full two months ago but she actually came to the establishment three days ago to confirm the reservations. She requested a lite fireplace, the big screen TV moved to the front of the room for a presentation, gold table cloths, and confirmed the menu. Then she went on to explain how she arrived at 2:00pm that day (Saturday the day of the event) to decorate the room; to her dismay doors were locked, and after knocking on the door for 10 minutes a kitchen worker came opened the door. My mother told him that she scheduled an even there and he called the owner on the telephone. The owner FORGOT about the shower!!! He rushed over. In the meantime my mother went into the room, the floor was dirty, the fireplace was full of ashes, the room was cold, and the tables were dirty. My mother and her friend had to quickly cover the tables with the only clean table clothes he had, which were pink, (not the gold that she ordered), and set up the room. At 3:15pm the guests started arriving and the room was still cold. By 4:00pm the room was still cold, the fireplace was still dirty and filled with ashes, and our guests had arrived and still uncomfortable. We were scheduled to eat at 5:00pm, but didn't eat until 5:40pm. Not only was the food late, but obviously thrown together. At that time we were forced to do the presentation (with the TV that was suppose to be in the center of the room), we had to ask everyone to turn their chair and face the direction of the entrance. When we left at 6:30pm the room was still cold and the fireplace was still filled with ashes. The owner, Mr. Hunter did not seem phased or apologetic about how he treated us and the level of negligence he showed. Please think twice before having an event here.

Needs live entertainment written by tsmootklazzband

On my recent visit to Hunters supper club I was overwhelmed by the generous attention of the staff. They are gracious and attenitive. I was especially impressed with the atmosphere. This club stands far ahead of most with it's decor and ambiance.Although there was some live entertainment by some young rappers that was enjoyable, I would really like to see more of the live band type entertainment. I would not be able to stay away. In contrast to Bakers Keyboard Lounge which is about one mile away, Hunter's is a lot more spacious. There is plenty of room to move about with it's three very different dining and entertainmet areas. Overall my experience at Hunter was one to be remembered

I took a date to Hunters for Poetry night It was WONDERFUL. The staff was very friendly. It reminded me of a country club. I was very happy to see such a wonderful club on the Avenue of Fashion. I've told many friends about Hunters and the ones who went told me that they like it too.

Pleasantly Surprised. written by sillyme2000

I went to the Hunter's Supper Club to support a friend's poetry night and was genuinely surprised. It wasn't your typical "hood function." The setting was spacious yet intimate. The staff was attentive. One complaint though . . . it was raining when I went and it wasn't clear which door to go through. Needless to say I got a little wet!
