Restaurant Reviews of Harbor Steak House
Good food, good service written by

We had a very good experience at the Harbor Steak house. I don't remember any signs posted in the parking area that the restaurant was responsible for your car (and contents) safety and there are few restaurants that are. The menu had a good selection of food including sandwiches, steaks, seafood, burgers and salads, the portions were better than average, and the prices average for the Oakland County area restaurants. We spent approx. $60.00 with tip, for two, which included four glasses of wine. There is a nice bar separated from the dining area. The dining room had large comfortable booths as well as tables. The server was exceptional. I believe her name was Lani. On Friday nights, they have an all-you-can eat fish fry downstairs from the dining room, and again the server (her name was Amy) was excellent. We are from out-of-state, but will return next time we are in the Keego Harbor area.

Park at your own Risk (Safety ) written by

While dining at this casual restaurant with 5 friends and after spending $129.00 for dinner, we left the establishment only to find that my car had been broken into and my coat stolen while in their private parking lot.( Sunday, March 5, 2006 @ 4:30- 7:00 P.M., only 3 spaces from the entrance)Upon finding this scene, we proceeded to go back into the restaurant and disceetly make them aware of this incident, as we have businesses as well. The owner only said "That's too bad." He did not offer to call the police nor make any gesture to compensate me for my loss. ($477.00 window and coat, as well as $129.00 for our dining experience. ) There were no cameras or signs posted to warn patrons to park at their own risk. Furthermore, he vaguely eluded to an incident that had happened just that Friday; hum. I don't feel that I nor any patron, which helps support a business and its employees, should have to file an insurance claim (which shows up on their own records and premiums)due to safety negligence on the part of the business.
