Been to Mama Alvino's several times to give it a chance to impress. So far the restaurant is failing to do so. The food is average...nothing to impress. The sauce has been watery and the noodles overcooked. The real gripe I have with this establishment is the service. Not much attention to the customer needs and consistently fouling up a simple order. The last time I dined there (and it WILL be my LAST) we were a party of two adults, one teenager, one child age five and one child age eight. After some rather poor service the server decided to add 20% tip charge. I politely disagreed and stated to the cashier that I feel the server didn't deserve a 20% tip for sub-par service. Some reason was given that the tip charge was the discression of the server and they wouldn't alter my bill. In the end the difference was only going to be about $4 but it was the principal. So my few expierences at Mama Alvino's have left me with a sour taste. I feel it isn't worth the trouble to get spotty service for just average food. I say avoid.
