Hidden Gem! written by anonymous

The first time I ate there I was soooo pleased. The food, the service, the patrons, and the ambiance was outstanding. The location itself is small but lends to its strong sense of home. Honestly the best food that I have had in the Lansing area by far! I reccomend this to anyone willing to allow yourself to become totally addicted to the best breakfast around!

The Best Breakfast There Is... written by anonymous

Yes, it is on the North Side of Lansing, but please disregard its' location and take the time to explore its' menu. By far Golden Harvest has the best tasting, best value breakfast in the Tri-County area. Why not come support a local business instead of pumping money into a chain or franchise establishment?

Food is excellent! Best breakfast/coffee in town and very affordable. Seating is selective but gives you the feeling of being right at home. Family owned and opporated which is always a plus. Recommended for breakfast any day of the week. Closes early and fills up quick so get there be for noon.

Wonderful old-time Great Food and Ambiance written by yumyum2

We take our cat to MSU every three weeks at 10:00 a.m. and then go to breakfast. In search of something besides the chain restaurants (I can go to those at home!) I found Golden Harvest Restaurant on the 'net, read the reviews on this web site and decided to go check it out. It sounded wonderful and it WAS! Great "diner" decor with mementos of the past; I think I spotted a glass washboard on the back wall. Golden Harvest Restaurant will remind you in every good way possible of going to good ol' boy hangouts with your grandpa when you were little. The Food was outstanding; my boyfriend had one of the burrito omelets with a side of pancakes and I had my usual 2 eggs scrambled with cheese. My eggs were a little "done" but that was my fault, I didn't specify, but they were served *hot* and the potatoes were something interesting and different. Next time I want to get the pancakes and something, the Pancakes were out of this world, light and high-rising and Huge. I hear their French Toast is good too. Convivial atmosphere, lots of laughing and talking but not so loud as to be irritating. Our server was a doll. It was a tiny bit of a wait for orders to be served but as someone else said here, Very much worth the wait, and you can amuse yourself by looking at the walls. Very homey and you bet we are going there again!!

I Just Love This Place written by tinah

At first I was hesitant about eating at GH because it looked like this little hole in the wall but I did eat there and I have been addicted to their food ever since. The atmosphere makes you feel like being with family. You may not have ever seen those people sitting in the restaurant before but when you leave, it seems like you have known them all along. My kids love to go there as well. It's like a Sunday tradition for us. The food is real cheap and it is the best breakfast I've ever eaten, unlike those big named places. If you haven't been there you should really go...soon!

Best breakfast in Lansing written by Codeee

Ask anyone who really loves breakfast and isn't afraid to explore food beyond the chains where should we eat? Golden Harvest of course. Everything on the menu is wonderful.

You have to try th polish omelet, but be warned, it's huge, get the half order. Or order the french toast, it is always perfect. Other favorites include various breakfast burritos, or the meatloaf. Weekdays you can get just about anything for lunch/breakfast. On the weekends it is breakfast only.

The've been closed for a month renovating, but will reopen after Thanksgiving.
