I don't nkow what all you guys are complainign about. That Kayla chick at Gilbert's Lounge rocks for service.
The pizza and ribs are totally savory man and she even let my buddy the dunker bring in a sixpack one time to refill his own glass when he couldn't get enough overtime to have money for beers and a tip too. He tipped her big time then - you know it! yow yow yow!

Since moving to MI recently my husband and I have really enjoyed this place. We have had excellent service even on crowded weekends. In the last few months we have gone there at least 6 times. I have found the staff to be very nice and helpful. We have never had to wait very long before someone has come to get our order and the food has come up fast.

My wife and I tried this restaurant on a Thursday night, our first time there. The place was moderately busy, about 2/3 of tables filled and some seated outdoors on the patio.

The ambience was classical "up-north" lodge feeling, nicely done in a family atmosphere (despite the very large bar along one entire side of the place). There are sport-TVs all over, but the sound wasn't obtrusive.

We had great service. Very friendly, very attentive and helpful. The entire waitstaff seemed to be very upbeat, and appeared to be serving other patrons with equal skill.

The menu has a wide variety of selections, and is clearly organized. Many items looked appetizing, leaving lots of choices for our next visit.

We ordered a small pepperoni pizza, and it was enough for both of us (moderate eaters). The fresh-spinach salad, which we also split, was outstanding. Our waitress never let our drinks run empty, and was always there just when needed. The food was delivered in a very timely manner, and the bill was promptly handled.

We'll not only return, but we will bring friends with us.

We went in on a busy Sunday afternoon and ordered pizza. The food (especially the bread sticks) were excellent! The service, however, left something to be desired. We were sat by the computer, where the servers enter their orders. We heard them talk badly about a few of their guests. The manager did not set a good example either. We heard her yell at a guest for simply asking for onion on his hamburger. Overall, probably would not return.

More improvements needed written by unknown

I have been at Gilberts many times throughout the many years it has been under the current owner. Many positive changes have been made with the exception of the service. Prices are moderate NOT OVER PRICED. Too many choices ont he menu. Nice atmosphere, clean and not too loud. More TVs are needed throughout the establishment.

We agree with the other reviews. No matter how many times you have been there, the service stinks!!! I was there one time with a full resturant, and It took 2 hours just to get a pizza made. Very bad!

Nice restraunt; but lacking in service. Food is good but over priced. My wife and I have been there 4 times over the last ten years; the service is always the same. I'm sure if I took issue at the restraunt they would do somthing; but I go out to eat because I want to relax and enjoy myself.
