The atmosphere is nice for a small town. The chefs are very friendly and nice to talk to...if you are not shy neither are they.
The wait staff is okay. Every now and then I get a good wait person who is really quick and on the ball.
The food is always great. The filet you can eat with a spoon. The miso soup is real good. The salad is okay, but I love the ginger dressing. Would be nice if the added a seaweed salad! There rice is the best. Most people including me love the yum-yum sauce, but I love all three.
There sushi is the best...doesn't matter what I order and I have tried all different kinds here it is excellent!
Henry Pi...well done. It's nice that you had enough forward thinking to bring something this nice to Midland. Having been raised in Detroit, I am very dissappointed with Midland dining! You have the world headquarters for Dow Chemical and Dow Corning not to mention the huge growth at Hemlock Semiconductor and there is only one progressive excellent restaraunt in the whole city? Isn't Dow Chemical a world giant? Where are the restaraunts catering to them?

Awful. Just plain Awful. written by poonstev

I ate here very recently, and I thought it was just awful. The only good thing to come out of this was that I have developed a tolerance for soy sauce. They drown the meat in soy sauce, cook the meat until it's tough, then soak it in soy sauce, reduce the soy sauce, and serve it as a soy steat sauce. The world's saltiest steak here, people. The sake was spiked with soy, even the seats were splattered with soy sauce. The sushi is soaked with soy sauce, which is a good thing because it masks the bad taste. Getting the idea? Soy, soy, soy, oy, oy, mein gott!
