First let me say the service was great but the cocaroaches hanging out on the wall was the deal breaker.totaly disgusting

Lucky find!
My sister arrived for a short visit, craving Mexican food. We ended up on Brundage headed toward 99, saw Los Molcajetes and both agreed to stop. The service was friendly, quick and warmly provided... the food, including her "whole grilled fish" and my grilled shrimp were first rate. Definitely going back and Sis is short listing the restaurant on her California "must eat here" list.

one of bakersfield's best
being raised with the greatest mexican chef in the world(mom), this is pretty close if not just as good to that standard. highly recommend it . Try one of the "molcajetes." You'll definitely be back! My dad whom I had diiner with and lives away in orange county, can wait to come back and try something else.

This restaurant is GREAT!!!!, I'm glad it was recommended to me. Real authentic, food was fantastic as well as the service and ambiance. Will defininetely make this on of my regular spots. The owners treat you like they know you and make you feel welcome. Be sure to make this a place to visit in Bakersfield.
