  best dam chinese food

  this is the best chinese place in stockton and anywhere in california and maybe even anywhere in the u.s., ive been eating at georges as a youngster, and still love it til today, the surrounding is the ghetto, and thats why its so dam good, its the best fried rice is the ****!!!! fried chicken is the ****!!!! and wonton is the SH*T!!!! you get the picture eat there

  My family has been eating at George's for years. And we go just for the food. The atmosphere isn't that great - what keeps us coming is the food, especially their garlic fried chicken - it has to be my favorite chicken dish in the world (no exaggeration). We usually order that with chow mein or chow fun - both are very good there also. The tomato-beef chow mein is a favorite of my sisters. If asparagus is in season, try that also. The wonton is also very good. I found that the fried prawns paled next to the other food, but I haven't ordered that since they last changed owners a few years ago. Maybe I'll try it again to see if it now measures up.
  The wait staff is competent, and quick. Basic service, but done well.
  If you don't like the decor, which is basic low-cost deli looking, get the food take-out.
