Restaurant Reviews of Smokey Bones

Not a great rib joint for me written by gorbegirl

I grew up with pressure cooked bbq baby back ribs (thanks mom) and both times that I have been to Smokey bones, the ribs have completely disappointed me. The server told me they would fall off the bone, and yet they never did. I haven't been back, I didn't find much else on the menu that looked worth the price. I did find the pulled pork (on my friend's plate) to be quite tasty.

Neat place and yummy! written by carrie640

We had never been to Smokey Bones before (we live in a box, I think!) and went for the first time last night. There was a TON of things to choose from and their specialty seems to be BBQ (ribs, chicken, pulled pork, etc), although you can get just about anything.

I was drawn to the Smokehouse Burger because of the "BBQ Onions". Let me tell ya...this thing was GIGANTIC (half-pound), but amzingly great. The other reviewer thought it was typical restaurant-type BBQ sauce, but I found it to be more of a smoke-type...and I loved it. I TRULY did. And....if you go..you've GOT to try that strawberry lemonade. Yep..I had FOUR of those bad boys!! LOL!!!!! It was great (non-alcoholic).

They are a little pricey (my burger/fries was 7.99) and the dinners will soak you for $9.99 up on average, but it was a nice treat.

It totally has a lodge-look (logs and all)..very bright and open...LOTS of TVs everywhere with your controler at your table to change your TV listening....

Totally a place I would go back to....if my pocket book gets a little bigger:)

I cannot beleive I have not reviewed this place before.
We go there all the time.
Good food (except for the ribs) and good service.
I recommed this place UNLESS.....
Unless you want REAL home style BBQ.
This is retaurant bbq which is not like home.
It is good! Just not home made.
Place has many TV and speaker boxes at ever table.
