Restaurant Reviews of Big Boy Restaurants
Rude management & waitress written by

Last visited this restaurant on December 24, 2005
My husband and I traveling Route 69 - stopped for breakfast at Bob’s Big Boy in Charlotte, MI Christmas Eve, 2005. My husband had the breakfast bar, and I ordered French toast. The entire time we were seated, the waitress never looked at me except briefly to take my order. She would come to the table, look directly at my husband, and ask “How is everything?” When the waitress returned, she saw that I was eating a small amount of eggs left on a plate by my husband (rather than throw them away). The waitress told me that she would have to charge me for the breakfast bar also, since there was “no sharing.” I asked her if she would rather throw away the eggs than see me eat them. She said “yes.” A few minutes later, another woman came to our table with the bill and said she added the breakfast bar – and when I asked to speak to the manager, she said “I am a manager, hon.” She repeated the comment about preferring to throw away the eggs. I said “I see now that I will never come back to this restaurant.” I did not realize that there was “no sharing.” I should have eaten French toast from the bar. I lost my appetite, and did not eat anything else. As I walked up to the cash register, I noticed the time was about 11:30 a.m., and a sign stated the restaurant was closing at noon!! My husband and I paid the bill - over $30! The staff at Bob's Big Boys sure didn't have the Christmas Spirit!!
