I've been there three times, each time w/a group of 6-8 friends, and each time the food was great & priced quite fairly given its convenient location in East Grand Rapids. However, the table-service was, at best, severely lacking each time as well. Inquiring about their soup once, my friend was told, two hours prior to closing, that if she wanted soup, the restaurant would have to heat it up, as all soups had been put away for the evening. Another time, upon ordering coffee at 6:30PM, I was informed that a whole new pot would have to be made. Daring not trouble our waitress, I declined to order any. By far what most annoyed me, however, is that Big Bob's actually surcharges its remaining customers for not paying with cash. Moreover, they mandate a $10 minimum order (making lunches difficult) should one prefer the convenience of paying with a credit or debit card. Great concept, great location, great food--I pray the same rubs off on the management sometime soon. :)

The food was awesome, and there was free popcorn. The calzone is delicious, filling and especially Cheap. The building was a little small, but a very nice setting. It was brand new and clean. The service was great, the workers didn't act like most on a friday night- grumbling about being there. Nice sports bar. Big TV. Go there, it's great.
