Food is terrific. Love their daily specials. The people that work there seem happy to see you back and appreciate your business.
This was a very unpleasant experience. Rather than just telling us that they do not want or like children, they made us wait with open tables and while later arrivals (without reservations) were seated at large tables. Upon realizing that we were not leaving, they finally seated us, pushed us to order immediately, and were trying to get out plates "out of the way" within five minutes. Truly a bad experience that I would not wish on anyone.
just discovered by walking in the area, not a great ambiance but simple and good food,we specially enjoed the ravioli(tasted like homemade) and thecrab cakes, gnocchi excellent, all together it was a surprice, going back soon,I
suggest it to anybody looking for a simple place with good food,by the way I like to bring my own wine,it is fun!!!!!!!
Giuseppe's Rip Off. The above reviews are not current because things have changed. Way way overpriced. All entres are $12.95-15.95 a la carte. Even pasta is served with meatless sauce unless you pay a surcharge. Salad(lettuce and onion and olive) is $2, desert $4.50 and up. Service was good, but smug. The portion of chicken and pasta was small, not hot, and served in one lump on the plate. The cheese cake was lumped on a plate ungarnished and in a few pieces as if it must have been cut first from the cake and broken. Entree, salad, iced tea and one shared piece of cheese cake with tip ran $50 for two people. Given that the food is ok, lousy presentation and way overpriced I will not be goint to that restaurant again. Only cash excepted. No itemized check, just a number on it. Never again.
I have been to many Italian restaurants in Phoenix, Scottsdale, etc. for a lot less and much much better food. Definitely we feel that we had been ripped off.
I recently tried this restaurant for the first time and I'll tell you something... I've never been more reminded of eating dinner at my grandparents house (I'm Italian and they came on a boat) in my entire life. I'd never even dreamed (or hoped for that matter) that such a feat was possible, right down to the smart-alec old man who reminded me of my grandpa. Bottom line: the service, food, atmosphere, service, and most certainly the prices were the straw that broke the camels proverbial back.....MY recommendation: If you want a GREAT Italian lunch, dinner, or whatever for a good price give the place a try you won't regret it
Get one of the round tables in the corner if you can. Also, stop by the Epicurian for a bottle of wine first. Pasquale is like family to all of his customers, new and old alike. The service is personalized and the food even better. It's a special place known best by the locals and shared only with the best of their friends.
The food and service were great. They only take cash, so be prepared. The restaurant is small but it feels like one of the small restaurants that we ate at while in Italy. The atmosphere feels authentic not forced. Order the meatballs! And make sure that you save room for cheesecake.
