Description:
Benjarong porcelain, often referred to as the Royal Porcelain of Thailand was originally designed exclusively for the use by Thai Royalty. The name 'Bejarong' literally means 'Five Colours' and refer to the colourful hand-painted enamels applied on white porcelain with gold around the edges of the piece and the gold will often be used to separate various colours. Benjarong porcelain is unique in its reflective qualities with one or other colour predominating depending on light direction.
