  Waitress/Manager/Owner EVELYN argued with the customer over BONES IN SAND. and didn't even offer another meal or an apoligy for the inconvience.

  On June 7, 2008 (which was my birthday) after all my family and friends left I asked my husband and daughter if they would like to go down to the apple core and get some ice cream.. My daughter always gets so excited hoo ice cream but, we didn't know that we weren't going to get served after waiting in line for 15-20 minutes... We got to your resturaunt around 8:45pm which you don't close until 9:00pm. We only live right down the street on west michigan so not too far to come for some good ice cream . There was two employee's working that night but, I didn't see the you man until it was time to close and be a smart mouth to my husband and I and no less my 8 year old daughter..one employee was a young blond gal that was working that night along with a young boy. The blond was waiting on these two young ladies that had ordered 2-banana splits and something alse...anyway by the time she was done waiting on them (as we're still waiting in line patiently)which the blond could of asked the boy to come out and wait on us or to help out.. but obviously that didn't happen.. The young gal that's working starts talking to the boy thats moping and then she comes back to us tell us that there closed now and that she's sorry, I got pretty upset after waiting in line that long then being turned down... I told her that we've been waiting in line and she knew it, and so then the boy comes out and starts being rude saying well were closed bye, and she shut the window...One of the main rules in alot of companys is to serve whom ever is still waiting correct? At least alot of company's that I've known... Just like we went down to Spanky's to get some ice cream and I was still pretty upset about the whole deal and I told the gal down there was waited on us. And she said if she ever did such a thing she'd loose her job.... hint , hint... I told them that they should have told us that in the beging instead of making us wait in line the whole time and then all we get is a punch in the face by saying we're closed now especially when you were in line well before the closing time... Just so you know if you keep those two employee's working for you're company you will end up loosing alot of long time and dedicated customers because we're not going to the Apple Core no more after being treated so shity.... and you can look in the roses and raspberry section of the Battle Creek Enqurier and read the nasty one that comes in there....I'd give you a truck load of raspberries.   I stopped a few weeks earlier on a Saturday morning and the service was fine. Took my wife back today for lunch and the only waitress/buss person/cashier was over worked, slow and when we told her we were only going to stay for drinks because she was bussy she got just plain rude.
  
  No thanks we'll go elsewhere.
