Visiting Tacoma for the first time, we were directed to the "World Domination" mainstream coffee house. Right next door was A Renaissance Cafe sporting the sign "support the little guy". This is exactly the kind of place we love-local food, local people, and eclectic atmosphere. The food felt like we were eating at mom's! Fast, hot, and delicious. Shelves line with books and original magazine from the 50's kept us occupied. We were treated wonderfully by the owner and employees (even with our 3 year old!) They let him help refill milk containers and set place settings. They even had children's books to keep him entertained as well. So, while my husband browsed Aquinas my son browsed Suess. Excellent memory, excellent place!
