Worst food ever...couldn't even eat it! written by

Awful doesn't even begin to describe the delivery experience from Papa Joe's. First of all, we had to call 3 times before anyone even picked up the phone. Then we waited 1 1/2 hours for the food to arrive, and when it did there was sauce spilled all over the bag. We ordered 2 different flavors of chicken wings - both looked and tasted exactly the same - like they were straight off the buffet line at a cheap Chinese restaurant. Mozzarella sticks were soggy and cold - and did not come with any marinara sauce. The chicken philly sandwich had 3 tiny cubes of chicken - that's it! And the Italian extravaganza sandwich was the most pitiful thing I've ever seen - barely any meat. Absolutely inedible - NEVER EVER order from Papa Joe's Pizza on 428 Hume Avenue in Alexandria, VA.

Never again...unsatisfactory food and service written by

Where to start? The individual who took our order over the phone was not very pleasant, and it took way too long for the food to arrive (especially considering the food was not fully cooked...but I'll get to that later). When it did arrive, our order was incorrect and they did not provide utensils (it was delivered to our hotel). My calzone, while a large serving, was not done. The cheese inside was not melted and it was cold in the middle. I couldn't even eat most of it. The spaghetti came in a small container, the noodles were drastically overcooked, and there was a hair in it. The worst part is that it was insanely overpriced. Overall, a horrible dining experience. Don't even think about picking up your phone and ordering from this place.

I ORDERED FOR DELIVERY A SUB AND SALAD. I DID NOT GET THE DRESSING I ORDERED AND THE DELIVERY PERSON WAS LESS THAN COURTEOUS WHEN HE COULD NOT REACH ME BY PHONE. I WAS ASKED FOR THE HOTEL NUMBER NOT MY CELL NUMBER. OVERALL RATING WOULD BE LESS THAN 5. THE SANDWICH WAS GOOD.

I am telling you this is the best delivery pizza I have ever had. The food is great and they have Chocolate Cake! I live in an area with great brick oven pizza places, and this is usually our choice when we order. I am telling you this is worth it! We have pizza from here at least once a week now!
