The restaurant is small, but has a great ambiance and atmosphere. I have only had the sushi, but that alone will keep me coming back! It is DELICIOUS (and friends have said other items on the menu are great as well) and waitresses and sushi chefs alike are very friendly and accomodating. Great place for dine in or carry out.

I am a local and have tried many of the sushi restaurants in the Hampton Roads area... this one definitely has a more family atmosphere and fresher fish and sushi. I came here on a first date with my now finance and he loved it. The memories of our first date combined with great service and food convinced my finance to propose to me at their Kempsville Location! They were super helpful and excited, and even provided a few "free items."
The only problem is that it is not a large restaurant, so unless you are in a huge party that is prepared to separate- you may want to be aware of this before dining here. The location at Nimmo is a bit bigger so this may be more convienent.

Great Place to eat sushi in VA Beach written by

I moved to Virginia six months ago, and I was looking
for a place where to eat sushi, I tried several of
them, but the flavor was not quite right.
Then I went to Mo Mo sushi, and in there all the
sushi tastes great, no matter what roll you get.
The fish is extremely fresh, and they have a good variety(30 or 40 rolls),
you need to order by roll and not by piece.

I've been there twice so far. The first time I went with my husband, mom, and two very young children (3 months and 18 months). The waitstaff was very accomodating and even helped entertain my 18 month old while we ate. The restaurant was only half full at the time. We were there during their usual All-you-can-eat-sushi deal on Sundays (3-9pm). The sushi was EXCELLENT! The salmon and tuna felt like it melted like butter in my mouth.
The second visit I went with a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 children). We went again for the Sunday All-you-can-eat-sushi deal but it was on Father's Day. The place was crowded and we initially had to split our party because two adults had to leave early. However, as soon as they could, the waitstaff put us all together at the sushi bar. Again, the food was excellent. It was a little tougher on me since it was a tighter squeeze with my two young children but the people in the restaurant took my children in stride. I highly recommend the restaurant! In fact, I'll probably be there again this Sunday.
