  Be careful! Not a very clean place

  I was a customer at Mayaluna Pizza Restaurant at 36 South Glebe Road on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 in the evening around 6:30 p.m. I ordered a beverage while waiting on my takeout order of a Gyro Platter and Cheesesticks. I noticed neither that a female worker and a male worker were using plastic gloves when handling fresh lettuce. Each of them were making salads. I called attention to the fact that they were not wearing gloves and were handling the lettuce (tearing lettuce leaves by hand). The young male worker told me that they would "do it different" for me. The male then put on disposable gloves and continued to prepare lettuce. I could not actually see them preparing my own salad for my Gyro platter but after paying for the takeout, I certainly did not eat the lettuce, tomatoes, onion slices in the styrofoam container that I was handed.
  I have not been to Mayaluna in years and will not be returning ever after what I saw.

  This Restaurant is an awesome restaurant where you can order food for delivery. I have ordered food from this restaurant and its fast. The food is warm and delicious. The service could be rated over 10.

  It's a lovely and warm restaurant where you can bring your family to dine-in. It's not just a dine-in area but its also offers delivery and carry-out. The food is at its highest standards and it keeps you coming for more. Offers pizza, subs, Latin food, and delicious platters (Gyros, Chicken, Spaghetti, and lasagna). Come and enjoy what Mayaluna has to offer!
