Slow Service - Rude Manager written by

This is a small complaint on service/management at this location. We arrived three families together, and on our arrival, we were arranged an outside table for 9. The waitress served one of the families' order completely, plus one appitizer plate for another family.
the food tasted great. After more than 90 minutes of chatting and joking, it started to rain and we had to move inside. That was when we realized we were still waiting for 6 more plates, and that our waitress has served customers that arrived and ordered after us. We called the waitress and explained to her our frustration, she appologized and explained it was not her fault. We understood that asked her to cancel the order and to call the manager for us. after few minutes, the manager showed up raising his voice, telling us that we can't complain to his employees about delays and that he wanted us out of the restaurant. We explained our situation and how we felt about the service and left.
We understand that these things could happen in restaurants, specially on busy days, but what was shocking was the way the manager talked to his customers. And what was even more astonishing was his excuse for our orders' delay, he said "it [the order] is not one sandwitch, it's three". It was obvious he did not have the slightest idea on our order, it definitely was not three sandwitches. Even so, I don't think he needed more than 90 minutes to prepare "three sandwitches".

Some of the best, freshest Mediterranean food in the area. Consistently great recipes, from the beef kibbe, to some of best babaganoush with light citrus bite that is a prefect accompaniment with the warm pita.
A great place for a warm summer evening dining in Shirlington and people watching while enjoying some fantastic food. Great big cakes in a display case that looks great and tastes almost as good as it looks. The more traditional mediterranean desserts are better than the over sized pieces of chocolate cake, but those aren't bad either.
The only draw back is that they seem a little short staffed and service sometimes takes a little time.
Over all 8 of 10, with a 9 of 10 for the food.
