When visiting the Saginaw/Lake Country Area, you must experience the good food at Texas Pit. I suggest the stuffed baked potato with chopped meat. Gotta have one at least twice a month! The Big Nasty is also a good find. Fritos chips topped with chili and all the toppings. Brisket sandwich w/extra sauce is delicious. If I ever move away from the DFW area I'll make a point to come back taste great Texas bar-b-que. Can't get enough of Texas Pit!!

Look for the giant smiley face. The take out is just as good as the dine in. They have a stuft Baked potato that is to die for. Tell them you want everything, including chopped beef. It's a meal you can share. You get a giant baked potato, butter, sour cream, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar, chives and a large scoop of BBQ chopped beef. The price is around 6 bucks... Can't beat it.

I had the ribs. They were GREAT! Tender, moist with a great smokey taste. The sauce (as if you need any) is very good, not sickly sweet like most places.

While the sides were good (the corn on the cob, BBQ beans and green beans were fresh and tasty) You have to try the fries. They are unwashed and cooked to a perfect golden brown.

Great Flavor & Service, Friendly Atmosphere and easy to find!!!!!! The Brisket is tender and flavorful, the sausage has a good taste and you have to experience the "Big Nasty"
