This is a wonderful dining experience. The appetizer-- trash can lid-- is cute and actually served on a smaller galvanized trash can lid and is a fablous beginning for your dinner. You are served hot out of the oven bread with every order and the barbeque is melt in your mouth good with a sauces that is just right and served warm. They have great service and a very cute Texas decor and a real fireplace. They even feature live music on Friday and Saturday nights on the outdoor porch. It is right next to the ballpark in Arlington on the I-30 south access road and is an easy on and easy off location. I would recommend it to everyone!

My wife 2-kids and me went to Sixflags in Arlington. We didn't know where to eat so we drove around. We saw the sign and went in. It was the best darn BBQ I have ever had. and the service is above all. We always bring this up when we go out to eat with friends. I live in Laredo,Tx but I wish there was a Shady Oaks in every city! Thank You!!
