All Pig Stands in Beaumont, TX are permantly closed. They were here for over 60 years. The most popular times were in the magic fifties, the 56, 57 Cheves, malts, Pig sandwhiches were unequaled period. It was the days of the pretty carhops, and you could eat 1/2 fried chicken plate for $1.75 with texas fries, those were the days. Gasoline was .35 per gallon, cigarettes were two bits a pack, $2.00 a carton.
