I've been eating at Mexicali for over 10 years. The food is terrific, and it's just got to be about the best deal in town - no kidding! Two adults can eat well there for under $20.

My favorite item, though, is their hot sauce, served at your table with refillable chips. Also, their rice is quite delectable, and their refried beans excellent.

To me, you can easily judge Mexican cuisine on those three basics - rice, beans, and hot sauce. And Mexicali has the best I've tasted anywhere!

I also enjoy the atmosphere, which is laid back, slightly dark, with appropriate music. There is a bar, should you wish a drink with a little more kick.

They do, of course, have your fancier entrees, but you can't beat Mexicali's enchiladas! My granddaughter (11) has been eating there all her life, and she loves it. Mexicali has become a weekly tradition with us, one that my granddaughter insistst that we not miss!
