LISA'S FRIED CHICKEN on University Dr and 7th Street in Fort Worth, Texas...
This place is bad news in the worst possible way! The kitchen is like a train wreck, filthy and disgusting. The lead manager of the restaurant is VERY rude and every time I have been there recently (3 times this past year) they have managed to rip me off in some way. They will mislead you into picking items that will nullify other offers and/or combos. They will charge you too much and by the time you catch them doing so, they will have already taken your money and WILL NOT give it back!
Last week I gave the place one more chance after being overcharged about six months ago for a fish combo. This time I ordered a chicken combo and asked if corn nuggets were an acceptable side, of course the guy said yes. I also ordered a jalapeño corn dog. The order came to over $9.00. That didn't look right, but I stopped to add it up, maybe margin of error. Result: a $5.49 combo plus $.89 for the corn dog. That should be $6.38 plus tax. Before I could even speak up about THAT problem, they brought the food out WITH NO DRINK. I asked HOW? HOW COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE? I spent over NINE DOLLARS and don't get a drink? The guy NOW says because of the corn nuggets that it was no longer a combo anymore, each piece is separate and I DO NOT get a drink. I told him that was crazy, so he called me stupid, screamed at me across the store and when I fought back, he told me he didn't want me back in his restaurant again!
I have asked around. The SAME GUY has done this sort of thing before to other people. HE WILL DO THIS AGAIN TO YOU! Never go to this restaurant, you will be making a big mistake!
