Very comfortable casual dining where you'd like to hang out with friends. In addition to the normal lunch soup and sandwich fare, Garden City offers solid daily lunch meal specials like (you wish) your mother made. The food benefits greatly from the use of locally grown (in the backyard patio area) herbs, spices, and veggies.
I also appreciate that Garden City is locally owned and operated, not a chain. They support local musicians and artists whose works often adorn the resturant walls as a mini-gallery.
