The Best Salsa I've Ever Had written by

I visted Frijoles late night with my girlfriend - and they were about to close. We were starving and were afraid we would get turned away - but the manager himself sat us as we entered and ensured us that they were here for us. Our waitress brought over their homemade salsa - and it is the best salsa I have ever tasted - we ate 3 baskets of chips with dinner (fajitas) - they were also extraordinary, as they were grilled on mesquite wood that gave the restaurant a wonderful aroma, also. We begged for salsa to take home and we left feling like we couldn't wait to return - and we can't - we will be checking out the salsa night this Saturday because I am out of salsa.

Food decent, fun atmosphere written by

I visited Frijoles on a Saturday night where they hosted salsa classes. The music was great, the classes fun and the general atmosphere comfortable for families.
The food was tex-mex style and taste was decent-good. The price was the best part, the portion, quality and price were a match.

Worst dining experience ever. written by

Eating at Frijoles was by far the worst dining experience ever. We were greeted rudely by a guy who said nothing to us but "smoking or non?" Once we werre seated, our chips were brought out quickly but none of the three people I saw working the entire restaurant came over to take our order for a while. Delivery of the food was quick and the look of the food wasn't bad but our appetizer was brought out a mere 15 seconds before the food. Despite the fact that it is July, Christmas music was playing in the background. My wife, who did not like the food at all, was approached 20 minutes after we received our food (we had no service before that) when they asked "Whats wrong with it?". When she said that she didn't like the food, the waiter said, "Oh", took the plate and brought us back the bill (which included the food that my wife did not like or eat.)
All-in-all, my trip to Firjoles was like a bad episode of the twilight zone. The service was extremely unfriendly, the food was edible but left something to desire, and the feeling we had when we left was somewhat frightened. I will never recommend this restaurant to any of my frineds and hope that you spare yourself a $30 meal by not going to this restaurant.

Upon arriving, I was greeted at the door with an unpresumtious "Smoking or Non?" No false sense of courtesy, just a genuine concern for my smoking preference. I was then seated, and to my amazement, the chips and, might I add, delicious salsa was brought out within seconds. The waiters working there seemed to be working very hard and I was entranced while the three of them worked in such harmony. Normally, I would fill myself up on the delicious appetizer that I ordered, but the waiter courteously prevented me from this potential tragedy, as the appetizer was brought out 15 seconds before the meal, so as to complement the tastes of the main courses. My wife was not as enthused about her dish as I was about mine, but we were free to discuss the finer points of the wastefulness of our society as we were left to our engrossing conversation for upwards of 20 minutes. We were checked up on again, and the waiter seemed to be at a loss for words about my wife's apparent distate for the food, as he responded with "Oh..." Again, no forced smiles or empty words, just an honest concern. We were given the check, paid, went about our way, while festive christmas music played in the background, complementing the pleasant experience we had just enjoyed.
