The 35th Street Flying Tomato is closed. The other location at 3638 Bee Caves Rd. is the best kept Austin secret I know. I love their Pizza and their salads. My wife loves their Pasta dishes. Our kids love the kids menu and the play scape. We saw live music with no cover on the outside deck the Saturday we first went. I understand they have live music every weekend on their fantastic deck. Try the Roasted Chicken with Potato pizza. The best I ever had, thought I was in heaven.

My wife and I have eaten here on more than a few occasions. Always, the food is fine - although a bit pricey for a pizza and salad. We usually spend close to $40 with no alcohol. The catch is that the service SUCKS. The employees all mill around with nothing to do, and they pay no attention to the customers. Twice we've had our pizza arrive before our salad because they forgot. No apology, no "salad on the house"... they just walk over and dump it on the table. It's like that with something every time we go in. I'll stick with Rounders for better food, better price, WAY better service.
