We have been customers of El Paseo since they were a little house with only a few tables (family owned). We have watched them grow and grow and GROW! But we tried eating there last Friday nite and walked out before even reaching the table. Here lately everytime we ask for NO SMOKING , they walk us past lots of empty tables only to sit us next to the SMOKING section! This was the last straw and we turned around, walked out before even being seated. VERY DISAPPOINTED !! Because we love their food.

We were greeted and seated promptly, and were immediately served salsa and chips with a small glass of water. The chips were average, and the salsa was on the hot side... too hot for my partner. I can't comment on the rest of the food, as we were ignored the remainder of the time we were there. We watched as people arrived, were seated around us, had their orders taken, drinks delievered, and then their food began to arrive. After 30 to 45 minutes I went to the cashier station to complain. No apology was offered... just "where were you?" and a curt "do you want a gift certificate?" Thanks, but no thanks. A "leisurely meal experience" indeed. We left and won't be back. I give the food 5 stars, since people say it is good, but service gets a 1.

They are known for their famous chicken enchiladas and other chicken dishes, but I always get their tasty beef fajitas. Fresh tasting guacomole goes with the fajita dinner. The chips and salsa
are one of the best in town and their delicious ice tea quenches any thirst. Remember to expect a leisurely meal experience, because depending on who you have for a server, it could be a slow experience or fast.

Great place to go with friends and family.
I go there for birthdays when I can.
They have the very best Carne Guizada I have ever tasted.
