Unassuming from the exterior, Milano Ristorante in Blauvelt NY offers wonderful cuisine, both Italian and Seafood, all made fresh to order. A soup to nuts special is available from 4-6 and all day Sunday ($21.95).
The ala carte menu is also nice, and the specials of the day sounded tempting.
This afternoon we all chose the special. Included were the Soup of the Day ( a nice lentil today), a colorful salad, entree, a choice of desserts, coffee and a glass of wine or soda. Dino and I had the halibut garnished with mussels and clams in a light red sauce, while Alex chose the veal Marsalla. The desserts were yummy as well. (Alex and I had the raspberry cheesecake, Dino had a chocolate cake, that was totally decadent.)
The restaurant features a live lobster tank, a room for private parties and a warm and charming host/owner Ricardo. Located on 303 N in a small strip mall, just past the Blauvelt Diner, we recommend it for your list of places to get a great meal. Reservations are recommended on Saturday, but probably never a bad idea to call ahead. Do notice the celebrity photos on the wall when you enter, patrons include a host of notables. Yes, I know you are wondering, we do the framing!
