Nice ambiance but very bland food written by anonymous

The place has a very nice ambiance and good music. However, the food was horrible. It had no flavor and it was too dry. As far as the prices, they do overcharge for typical latin dishes. If your used to latin cooking you will immediately notice that the food has no flavor.

Will not visit this establishment again.

Stumbled upon a great place! written by chulisnackie622

We were driving through East Tremont one day in June and didnt even realize that this place was here until we heard the latin band playing it up and saw the people enjoying the music! It caught our attention and we ate there so far 3 times since June and we really like it! The food is porportioned well-so dont expect to take any home any left overs-theyre good sized portions and you'll eat it up lol! You should try the flan de coco-with real coconut flakes on the bottom! The place isnt too big-but its got a city feel to it-and we love the music that's played-all of our favs! We look fwd to celebrating my mom's bday here with the family and enjoy the latin band once again on Fridays!

WOW, I was referred to this place by a friend who held their company party at this spot...The place is amazing, feels like you are in a tropical island. The food was AWESOME, and the portions were great, The service was a little sluggish but it was packed and it was on a Saturday night...I loved this spot, and will be back for sure.

Was good, not now written by BronxPhil

initailly when the restaurant opened in late 2006 the food was excellent. The last three times I went there (Feb.-April) the food was disappointing. Not as tasty as before. I suspect the original cook is no longer there. Also the portions have become smaller. The bar prices are a bit expensive.

Delicious Romance written by Jasoncarol1

I stumbled on upon this place by accident. I actually went in thinking it was a bar so I can have a drink with my fiance and realized that the back of the restaurant opens up into a beautiful dining area. We had some drinks and them sat down to have some great spanish food. My fiance is pretty hard to please but she really enjoyed herself and loved everything. I highly reccomend this place, especially if you are looking to make a statement with your significant other!

Sometimes you don't feel like going all the way downtown to get some good food Espeically Latin Food. This Restaurant has it all Good Food, Good Prices, Good Service and its right here in the Bronx. It Has a really nice vibe and Ambiance of a downtown restaurant lounge like Sofrito. If your looking for a local spot with better than average food and a really Manhatan vibe without traveling then go here.

WOW.... written by Robkrs10

I just ate at the new Latin Kitchen, and I can say is WOW. I was greeted by a beautiful host, brought to my table, treated to salad, and spanish style bread. The menu was full of authetic style spanish food and the selections appealed to my budget. The food took some time to come out because the place was packed but it was well worth the wait. The place has a latin feel with the music (i didn't understand the words but it sounded good) and the food was amazing. It really stands out on East Tremont and I look forward to my next visit.

A bit of latin flavor written by annie
Last visited this restaurant on July 13, 2006

The food in this venue is just okay. It lacks the flavor that my mother's food has. It's a little on the bland side to me. The best place to go for spanish food is a cuchifrito where thay don't skimp on the flavor. The setting is small and personal which I do like. They're suppose to be moving across the street but the resruarant has yet to reopen since the Summer. I wonder if it ever will.
