This is a restaurant named Diner because it is housed in a former diner. The food is excellent and value priced. Specials are always interesting and well prepared. The limitied regular menu is solid comfort food, with the cheeseburger and mussels topping the list. Also the mista salad is very good. The staff is unexpectedly attentive. The ambiance is gritty--little was done to fix up the space from its old days as a diner, which is part of its appeal. They don't take american express. Year of last visit is accurate.
