Wonderful food in a quiet cafe written by

This is an under-rated and little-known cafe, but don't be fooled - their dinner menu is unbelievable. First, every night there are 5 or 6 specials. The house specialties are various fish and pasta dishes. Typical items include Salmon, Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, or Sea Bass. Often these are topped with special sauces. Also, garlic is a favorite ingredient. The Chicken Pasta with gorgonzola cheese sauce is heaven on earth. Whether you're hungry or not, get the large - you will want to take home leftovers!
The wine list is short but excellent - every single item on the list is quality. And everything is priced moderately, since you aren't paying for big restaurant atmosphere. So even though this is nearly gourmet food, you will find the prices quite reasonable. In particular, the wine price per bottle is well below the usual restaurant markup. Typical pastas are $8-10, fish entrees are $12-15, and steak or premium entrees are $15-18. Dinner specials come with a dinner salad, garlic whipped potatoes, and a choice of vegetable side.
Overall, you can't beat the experience. Oh, and may I recommend the Shrimp in honey glaze appetizer? Or the Quesadilla - it is definitely the best quesadilla I've ever tasted!
