The food is great, home cooking, the owner is a wonderful and fun person , always there to please everyone. A very down to earth guy!!!I have been there a few times when he is out visiting with the customers, he trys to make sure everyone is satisfied. The restaurant it self is very country ,informal and very nice place to eat.

I have lived within 50 miles of Cowtown, and had never heard of it before. A friend told me about this really neat place in Bloomfield. I wasn't too keen on making the trip just to eat, but boy was it worth it. It's not in town, it's on a farm, with lots of animals, and when you drive up the long lane, and get around the big horse barn you can see the resteraunt. It looks like Dodge city. The Staff was friendly, and the whole place was decorated in primitive antiques. There's a big rock fireplace, and large picture windown you can see the horses, Binky the potbellie pig, and little donkeys. There were lots of choices on the menu, which made it hard to decide, but I had already decided that this was just my first trip to Cowtown, and I hadn't even eaten yet. I tried the house specialty. Fresh, never frozen fried catfish, and boy was it good. For side dishes I had the fried taters, and onions, and fried okra, and slaw. It was great. My friend had the roast beef, with homemade mashed potatoes, and, homemade Washington apple cake with cream cheese icing. I was too full to eat desert, and my concience was killing me for eating so much fried food, so I got a piece of sugar free chocolate cheese cake to go! On the way out we got to meet the owner Jerry Moore, and pet Binky the pig, and see sheep, and chickens. I'd have to give this place 5 stars for originality, and exellent atmosphere, and great food. I will difinitely come back and bring friends. They do parties, and special events, I think the place must seat 300 people. It's refreshing to have such a unique dining experience.
