  Ordered the Valentine Special for Two that was advertised--ribeye steak, vegetable, choice of potato, salad bar, and roll. Salad bar was very small and not well kept. While we were eating our salad, the server came to tell us they had run out of baked potatoes--so we decided upon mashed instead. When the food came the potatoes were instant and swimming in some kind of brown gravy and the vegetables came straight out of the can. The dinner rolls tasted homemade, and were very good. The steak was very thin, which was probably a good thing because there was no steak knife with which to cut it! When we told the cashier how disappointed we were in not having our choice of potato, she replied that they were running out of everything including rolls and iced tea. At no time did anyone apologize to us for this lack of planning on their part. Couple this with the cheap plastic table coverings and the dirty tables that were never bussed all around us, to call this a "romantic" Valentine's Day dinner would be a stretch!

  This place is a throwback to when restaurants made homemade food, served it on plan China and had a down home feel. The prices are VERY reasonable and the food gives you a feeling of being at grandma's house. The service is friendly and they seem to really appreciate your business. I would recommend it for good food at reasonable prices.

  I ordered bacon and eggs with no patotoes or toast/biscuts& gravy, but asked for pancakes instead. I was charged extra for the pancakes(which I wasn't told). For this small breakfast I was charged almost eight dollars. I could have gone to most any place and had steak and eggs with all the trimings for the same or less.

  Not a lot goes into the look of the place, because they put all of their efforts into the food. A had a fantastic chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast. It was so good, that I and my friends have yet to try anything else on any of our several visits.
