Like some, I read about this place in the Mpls/St.Paul Magazine. I believe it was rated very high on their top 50 burgers list, so it was a place I vowed to try. The best things about Wagner's has to be the price and service. I ordered a cali burger basket with a large strawberry shake and a philly cheese stake sandwich for under $14. This is all great, but I was going there for a great burger not a great price and spitless food. Needless to say, I was let down. There was nothing special about the burger. In fact, at a supposed quarter pound, I would rather go with a quarter pounder with cheese at McD's over Wagners' flattened, plain quarter pound burger. Their coleslaw was atrosious and the fries, ok. The shake was delicious though, but if they would've messed that up, Mpls/St.Paul Magazine is in trouble. I've also read it advertised that they have reubens, bbq beef and other tastes that could redeem their food. But my server said, "new ownership doesn't do that anymore, we used to though. Try the location in Brooklyn Park". This is probably for the best, this way I have nothing to go back for.
