We went to PTH to celebrate a birthday. There were 4 of us dining. The place is so crowded that the person seated behind me continuously bumped her chair against mine. Additionally, the accoustics were so poor one needed to raise their voice in order to speak to the person next to them.
I ordered walleye (broiled) and vegetables. The vegetables arrived smothered with chunks of feta cheese. I asked to have the cheese removed. The waitress asked why I didn't order them without cheese. Primarily because I wasn't aware that they'd be served with cheese (nothing on the menu about that). When the waitress returned she had a glass in one hand and my meal in the other. She put my meal before me and left our table. A few seconds later I noticed my back was quite wet. Evidently she'd spilled down my back.
The fish was horrid. When the waitress asked if my fish was all right I said it wasn't very good. She asked if she could get me some sauce to put on it. [What???] (I was afraid to send it back, for fear of the repercussions.)
Regarding the cost: one couple ordered a meal, which they shared, I had the walleye and my husband had beef tips. As for beverages, we had two glasses of wine, one beer and my water. No extras, no dessert and the bill was $88. Wow!
Perhaps it was just my karma - but I would definitely not recommend Phil's Tara Hideaway!

We can not say enough about this restaurant! We went there on a recommendation, and will thank our friends immensely. The ambiance is very quaint and cozy, the service is exemplary. The food is beyond compare. We travel throughout the country and have never been as pleased. We highly recommend the Chicken Corinthian and any of the steak items, especially with the seasoning and mushrooms. Lovely to experience a restaurant that cares.
