Westlawn Inn ups the ante in MD written by

The Westlawn Inn, located in North Beach, Maryland, is a unique dining experience all its own. The setting is a former boarding house that has been transformed into an inimate dining room. The food is spectacular (I started with Frito Misto, enjoyed delicious Venison for dinner, and ended with a White Peach Bread Pudding). My hat goes off to owner, Lee Travers, who has kept the quiet/intimate feeling of the original structure. While many new restaurants are making efforts to "pretty-up" their decor and atmosphere, the Westlawn Inn holds true to its humble beginnings. As soon as you walk in the front door, a small bar greets you at your left (adorned in a warm merlot color) while the dining room is set at right in a perfectly lit ambience. The service was professional and timely, and my server proved her menu and wine knowledge. A modest, yet perfectly selected, wine list accompanies the menu. If you stop nowhere else in Southern Maryland, make it a point to eat dinner at the Westlawn Inn. I promise you wont be dissappointed.
