Overpriced, No Ambiance but Good Food written by

We visited Proud Mary's for our wedding anniversary. I had only heard about it, so I didn't know what to expect. The food was delicious, but it was overpriced and there is absolutely no ambiance. It's like a small diner charging fine-dining prices. Furthermore, you don't get any bread or crackers prior to the arrival of your meal, and you cannot have your choice of vegetables with your entree (by the way, you only get one vegetable with your meal). The crabcake was the size of a child's fist, and the shrimp were probably medium size, definitely not large. My meal was $21.99, and all I got was the crabcake (remember, it's the size of a child's fist), 5 medium-sized shrimp and the vegetable of the day. We paid for the muffins that we got to go with our meal. Furthermore, they had live entertainment that you, the patron, had to pay for if you wanted to eat there. There was a $2 per person cover charge that was added to your bill and taxed. Ridiculous!!! Our meal was almost $65 (excluding the tip)--and we didn't even order drinks. For that kind of money, I'd say dress up, find a nice restaurant with great ambiance that at least offers warm rolls or fresh crackers or your choice of a single vegetable.
