I grew up in OC and discovered this place through my parents. It is the best place I have EVER been in OC and I have been quite a few places. They always know me by name and they always know what is going on in your life and are interested to hear more. I went there for many birthdays, my engagement, almost my rehearsal dinner but it was too large and about every time I get home to see my parents. If you want great service and an excellent meal, look no further. Patrick and Leslie are amaxing!!!

We have been frequenting the Grove since June 2000. They have the best food, the friendliest service in a very eclectic setting. Will return again and again! We have never had a disappointing meal and would recommend to almost everyone. If you are looking for a mediocre meal in a restaurant chain setting, this is not for you. Yes, you should call in advance for a reservation, as seating is limited. You will get a call back if the gracious owners can accomadate your party. Our hats off to the owners, chefs and servers!!!

I don't know why the attitude of the owners/employees is awful, but it ruined any hope of a nice meal. Be prepared to beg for a reservation, work to confirm your own reservation 24 hours in advance. Oh, and along the way, you will be treated with the most pretentious attitude you could imagine. Try not having heartburn after that!

I am a regular customer (once a month for 9 months of every year). I have been hooked since my first visit. Leslie and her brother Patrick are the first reason I always come back. Her outgoing style of greeting everyone and his hilarious rendition of the meals of the day are as wonderful as the dishes prepared for you at request. Though a bit pricey you will return again and again. You cannot judge a book by its cover so do not be timid upon driving into their parking lot. It is what's inside that counts. It never disappoints me. Over and over each time I visit I am happy that I know about the Grove. Just think about what they offer...excellent dining with no dress code. That in itself is relaxing. Try it. You will LOVE it. But again cash only and reservtions are very necessary!!
