From the time you enter til the time you leave you are in for a treat! The locals sit around the counter and catch up on the gossip. One of them may break out in song and others will join in. Donald the *Ice Man" works the crowd with his " Heave Ho! as he fills the ice machine. It's been told that people set their watch to witness Don at work.
The waitresses are always quick to smile and accomodate. They usually know everyone by name and are quick to notice if someone new is there and make the welcome. we We were anxious to return as a result.
The food was fabulous and I promise you will not leave hungry. The fried clams are the best we ever tasted. Fresh, delicately breaded and outstanding. The Jay Melt was super -the thick juicy hamburger between a grilled cheese was mouth watering! WOW!
Larry's is a Chatham institution and should not be missed.
