    Last resort for a downtown eatery

    Overall, I simply love the Jambalya Shoppe in Baton Rouge with my favorite being the O'Neal location. But the downtown location has continue to disappoint me. The service leaves much to be desired and the food in terms of portions just don't met the mustard. A couple of weeks ago on my visit I ordered the combo with gumbo to go. By the time I returned to my office I found that I had 1/2 cup of gumbo and they simply forgot to put in the sausages that they serve separately. Today I did get my 2 sliced sausages added to my gumbo only order.
