Out shopping for antiques,I stumbled across a charming little cafe located in the cellar of Head House Antiques.I never knew it was there till I descended the stairs, thinking I would find another room of antiques. To my suprise, there was this lovely little cafe.It was like no other place I have ever seen. The ceiling was covered with vines and soft lights.Beautiful Tiffany lamps hung above each table. The floors were obviously hand painted to look like brick as well as other lovely designs.A candle on each table added to the atmosphere. From the menu, which featured everything from chicken salad to Hot Browns,I ordered a Malibu Chicken Sandwich and a cup of Tiffanys Tomato Soup. The waitress, who was very friendly and helpful suggested that I try one of Freda's Famous Fried Biscuits.I did.And I did again!I confess that I now have an addiction to those fried biscuits! My meal,by the way,was also wonderful.I can honestly say, that was the best tomato soup I have had in my life.I am definately going back again soon, now that I know it is there and this time I'm bringing my friends so we can all order different things from the menu and sample each other's food.I think we'll start with a basket of fried biscuits!

I took my one year old grandson. The children's menu had a turkey sandwich I ordered and chips. I asked if we could substitute fruit instead. You can't do this. I gave him my fruit and ate his chips. I do like this place but I feel that a few of the people waiting on you are not real friendly. No smile from her at all.
