Family meal not quite the ordeal... written by

My family of six dined recently in the patio area. They were not very busy, semed like a lot of workers there but the service was not what I'd expect from John E's. Once we received the correct orders of food, it was very good. Biggest complaint is the tiny glasses they use.. and getting refills was a problem for a thirsty bunch.

Filet steak was great along with the stuff potatoe and salad, but the mushrooms were dry and tasted terrible (no gravey). Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and food and history of this place. Our party came from Columbus, Ga. We were in Louisville for the houseboat show. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
