The hamburgers and sandwiches are good. The atmosphere is a bit drab. The walls are just painted cinder blocks. The restaraunt is old with lots of ware and tare. Bad service is part of the atmosphere. Many of my co-workers frequent this place and love the abuse they receive from Hattie. I think you'll either love it or hate it.

Hattie's serves good-old fashioned cooking. The lunch specials are 5.25 and are generous portions. Specials vary each day - sometimes meatloaf, sometimes fried fish, etc. She is best known for her hamburger (which was written up in Southern Living when she worked for another restaurant). All-in-all - a good value - best at lunch!
