I go to Pineville, Kentucky, just to eat at The Flocoe! I grew up in Pineville where The Flocoe was the meeting spot for friends and families. After The Flocoe was closed for a number of years I found that there was no longer a place where the locals could gather just to visit and have a nice meal. Now the owners have created a fabulous place to eat as well as to see friends. It also features artwork by the former owner who would be quite proud to see that his Flocoe is still going strong. I highly recommend the chicken and dumplings!

The Flocoe has come full cycle. It began in the 1920's as a sweet shop. later became a drug store with a lunch counter and is now a sweet shop cum restaurant again. The shop is named for it's founders - Miss Florence ( FLO) Johnson and Miss Coe (COE) Shaeffer; hence The Floce. It is in the Johnson Building on the sqaure in downtwon Pineville, KY. Bravo!
