My friend got me hooked on this place! I don't usually stop at restaurants that I don't know of but my friend had some food from there one night and my mouth was drooling! I went on my lunch break the next day and got their daily special of smothered fried pork chops, mac & cheese, and cabbage. I was surprised at how much I got. Next time I'll try the spicy chicken. I just wish they had tea....but I guess the beer will do!! :-)

I recently dined at the Chicken King (Clay&broadway) and I must say that it was some of the best food that I've eaten in a long time. I had a spicy fried chicken dinner with potato wedges and slaw. Mmmmm.....!!!! My wife had the cajun catfish with green beans and mashed potatoes. I was able to wash it down with a cold beer. Both of us ate and drank for under $10!! I will definitely be back when i am back in town!!
