The Atomic Cafe

I was just at the Atomic Cafe this past weekend with my band. Friday night was'nt to bad, the food was alright, a little pricey. We had so many people there that the manager had to tend bar, and for the most part the manager was fine. Saturday night though was all together different. This man treated us like we were dirt. He tried to tell us that we did'nt leave a good tip for the waitress the night before and we did, and when we wanted to speak to the waitress, he said that she was'nt there and we found her inside working, and when confronted about the tip, she did'nt know what we were talking about. So the manager LIED to us and told us that we were not aloud to sit inside the cafe with the PAYING CUSTOMERS. Our bills got all confused and he through a hissy fit about that as well. We had a couple of our friends from Ohio come down Saturday night and the gentleman that was with us had one glass of champaign about 7:30p.m. and decided at about 9:30p.m. that he was going to take a short walk to get the feel of Lexington and as he was walking out the door, the manager stopped him and proceeded to tell him that he had to much to drink and if he left HIS resturant that he was going to call th police on him. HOW IGNORANT!!! The gentleman that was with us of course did'nt take to kindly to his attitude and let the manager know his feelings on the whole situation of the night in general. NOT GOOD. He still went for his walk only to cool off instead of for pleasure. When we spoke to a waitress about the attitude of the manager, she told us that some days when he comes in he can be really nice but for the most part, if one thing pisses him off through his day, then he treats the workers as well as the PUBLIC like TRASH!!! I know this for a fact because before we even went to Lexington this weekend, I read other reviews about this idiot with other customers. After all of the business that we brought in Friday and Saturday night, the asshole shorted us $100.00 in pay. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Atomic Cafe......atmosphere is pretty nice, cleanliness is good, food is good, MANAGEMENT SUCKS and needs to be delt with immediately if not sooner. I can't believe that this place still exists with such a illtempered idiot such as this man. If he don't like his job, then he needs to GET THE HELL OUT and leave it to someone that works well with the public.....after all the PUBLIC is what keeps the place in buisness....let's not forget that. Would I recomend this resturant to ANYONE.....HELL NO....just because of the management it's not worth it when you could go somewhere else and spend you hard earned money and be appreciated instead. For God sake McDonalds is more curtious than this FOOL!!!!!

What an unbelieveable atmosphere! There is not a better patio experience to be found! While the food may not be of the gourmet variety, it is still very good. But the service and the ambiance are the real reason to visit this unique spot in downtown Lexington. As a beer afficianado, I recommend the Rogue Dead Guy selection on tap.
