A Imbiss Grill in Germany is a Turkish Doner Kebab stand that is on practically every corner in Germany, their version of a healthy delicious McDonalds, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. I was hoping to have that when I walked in but I walked right back out when I found out they didnt. I read a review online saying that when the owners originally opened the restaraunt they were serving only Doner Kabab, and the other typical things that they have there, brats on brochen, pomme frittes, roasted chickens, baklava, salads, but because the public complained, they switched the menu to Authentic German Food, if you can call it that(I didnt stay to eat, but other than the spatzle, brats and the schnitzel, the menu did not look like authentic bavarian food, no brochen in sight. The article said that they still retained the Doner Kebab on the menu which is a lie!!!! I am sure that they are going to have many military families walking in expecting the same thing that I was and they will be greatly dissapointed. I understand that the owners had to bend over for the ignorant people who did not know what an Imbiss Grille really is, but did they have to take it off of the menu completely????????????? I drove over 90 minutes to Wichita on my Birthday for nothing.
My husband and I were attending a business conference near Wichita. We first ate dinner one evening and the food was absolutely delicious. We went back 2 days later in the afternoon for desert. When I eat out, I like to order something that I won't prepare at home. We were pleased with the service. If we ever visit Wichita again, we will definitely eat here.
I arrived with my 60ish parents and a happy baby. I don't get many nights out on the town, and I was hoping tonight would go smoothly before we had to put Baby to bed. The restaurant was clean, and since I had eaten there before (granted, the service even then was a little slow, but what the hey) I felt comfortable bringing my out-of-town relatives for a different experience. It seemed promising that, even on Friday night, the place was only about half-full. We ordered, and then we waited. And waited. And waited. When our entrees came out (with no sign of a salad beforehand), our waitress seemed amazed that we hadn't had the salads. She tried to make amends, but her vague and unsure offers seemed like she was trying to avoid the problem.
I would really like to go back, but until they hire competent help (twice now, the waiter or waitress I have had seems to think that it is more important to socialize than to work), I will stop recommending it to my friends. No matter how good the food, bad service really reduces the experience.
My husband and I went there to have a nice evening out and it was perfect , we loved the food. The service was great and we will definately be going back. My husband spent 3 years in germany in the army and he said this was the best he had had since that time.
This restaurant was excellent! I loved the food and the service was exceptional. I will definently return again. The waitstaff were kind and courteous! Good job! The hostess had a beautiful smile, and was exceptionally nice.
The cook was real friendly, and walked around to make sure that everything tasted just fine.
My husband and I ordered the combination platter, raviolli appetizer, each had a glass of wine and dessert. The food was exquisite and the wait staff was very courteous and helpful. It was quiet and comfortable and there was not a feeling of having to be rushed through your meal. I will return to this resteraunt. The food and atmosphere made you feel comfortable and relaxed.
